Advocacy Resources

The METG is committed to CHAMPIONING our students and educators.

We do so through advocacy for the arts, support for program building, by raising the profile of the METG, and through the provision of opportunities for building relationships and theatrical networks. We believe in the importance of advocacy for- and by- students and teachers to support public funding for the arts.

The METG's efforts to CHAMPION our students and educators are guided by the METG Standing Committee on Advocacy. The charge of this group is to:

  • Empower educators with tools for advocacy
  • Foster collaboration between schools with similar educational demographics and educational models
  • Build relationships with like minded organizations to support advocacy in our community

The committee has provided a series of resources that support our collective efforts to advance theater education across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
